Baywatch is Back With Dwayne Johnson

A classic from the '90s returns to the sand when the hot-bodied crew from Baywatch heads to the big screen. Taking over for TV series star David Hasselhoff, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson slips on the famed red bathing suit to play slow-motion-running lifeguard “Mitch Buchannon.” He's joined by Zac Efron in an effort to take down drug traffickers who are threatening the tranquility of the bay. Original series stars Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson have cameo appearances. While the original was set on the shores of Malibu, California, the update takes us to the Sunshine State. The beaches of Boca Raton and Miami, along with Tybee Island, Georgia, serve as the backdrop for the film's fictional Florida town. Opens in late May across the globe.

Goldie Hawn and Amy Schumer on Hawaiian Sands

After Amy Schumer gets unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend, she convinces her uptight mother to take an exotic getaway by the sea in Ecuador. Their dream vacation soon runs afoul of criminals, sending the pair in a harrowing adventure across beaches, jungles and urban terrain. Filming took place on the shores of Honolulu and Waianae in Hawaii. Snatched bows globally in mid-May.

Bruce Willis Battles in Venice Beach

Once Upon a Time in Venice stars Bruce Willis as a detective who enjoys a relaxed surfer's life in Venice Beach, California. His buzz is severely harshed when drug dealers steal his dog – and he wastes no amount of ammo in getting his beloved four-legged friend back. John Goodman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), Kal Penn, Famke Janssen and Thomas Middleditch (TV's Silicon Valley) co-star in the flick that was filmed on and around the famous Venice Beach Boardwalk. The action comedy rolls out from mid-to-late June across the globe.

Mandy Moore on Dominican Republic Shores

A tropical vacation turns deeply dangerous for Mandy Moore and Claire Holt in 47 Meters Down. The two star as sisters on a vacation in Mexico, where a diving excursion goes horribly wrong when their shark cage plunges to the ocean floor. Set on the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, the shores of Punta Cana stand in for the Mexican setting. Punta Cana, which abuts both the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, is renowned for its long stretches of pristine beaches and crystal clear waters. The movie opens in mid-June in locations around the world.

Buds Bond on the Beaches of St. Pete

Enjoy a trip to a Random Tropical Paradise. After discovering that his fiancée cheated at their wedding, Bryan Greenberg (TV's One Tree Hill) takes best-man Brooks Wheelan (Saturday Night Live) on the tropical getaway that was planned as a honeymoon. Things go awry as sex, drugs and mobsters complicated the vacation. Spencer Grammer and Joe Pantoliano co-star in the comedy that was filmed on the white beaches of St. Pete, Florida, a popular vacation spot on the Gulf of Mexico. The movie opens in early June.

Dunkirk Revisits the Coast of France

Today, visitors from across the globe journey to Dunkirk, France for its miles of unspoiled beaches and impressive sand dunes. Recreational waters welcome sailing, canoeing and catamarans. However in 1940, the shores were the site of one World War Two's bloodiest battles and most-dramatic evacuations. The re-telling stars Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Tom Hardy and ex One Direction member Harry Styles. The epic opens around the world in mid-July.
